EVER CHANGING VIEW991.jpg

It’s an odd little song with an almost choir boy vocal from Herrin during the middle part.

It was a joy to see how this song developed over time and for some reason this was the one song that had to open the album, a good introductory song to let you know what you’re in for.

“Scars on my face are hard to hide as I try to keep pace with the speed of liife and it’s an ever changing view.”

The first set of lyrics say it all really. Life can be one speed trip and hard to keep up with but somehow we do, we must or else we’ll either be run over or left behind.

When you look at most people you can see their lives written on their faces, in the laughter lines , the worry wrinkles, the angry stretch marks and the tear stains around the shape of their eyes, that make the character of a person.

One thing I’ve learnt in my life is that just when I think I know something or think I’ve got somebody worked out, sure enough something will happen and it will all change and what I’ve learnt is that I never really knew anything at all.
Life is a constantly ever-changing view.
What was old once was new and what is new once was old. The dreams in my hand are pictures of life/God/the eternal lover, nature, realisation, whatever you want to call it.

Be flexible and move with where ever life takes you, be prepared to change because it happens whether you like it or not. Understanding the nature of cause and effect gives us some insight into the bigger scheme of things and the illusion of reality keeps on keeping on even when you come to understand it is all an illusion.

Before enlightenment – chop wood, carry water.

After enlightenment – chop wood, carry water.

Big stuff to contemplate over a bowl of cereal.

There is one thing that will never change in this constantly changing universe and that is change itself.
So be aware, have a care and enjoy the ride.
