Heaven In The Distance

Wind blows a traveler in the cold
Lost in memories growing old
Burning candles and in our minds we sing
Praying for an answer to what this night shall bring

My sticky fingers are trapped within the ice
Melting scenic moments in the mists of afterlife
And as I balance night and as I balance day
My frightened panic is dragging me away

Up ahead in the distance I see no guiding light
Could this be the reason why my Life is filled with fright
I’m running from the shadows that are dancing on my walls
And in my sweet ecstasy the burning angel falls

In the bowl I’m mulling the time that I have spent
Searching for the heavens and the hells that I have lent
Hear the clocks are ticking and the light is fading slow
Will I grasp for moments when its time to go
I don’t think so
